Avengers Super Hero Squad Review: Attack of Loki

with 2 comments

It’s been a long time since the toy gods have smiled down on me. I think the last time it happened was when I stumbled across a full set of the Wal-Mart Marvel Legends Giant-Man series. But over the weekend, I discovered the full set of the Avengers Super Hero Squad packs at Newbury Comics in Harvard Square! Read the rest of this entry »

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Review: Hulk’s Helicarrier Breakout #6868

with 3 comments

I have one big issue with this set. They claim this is the Helicarrier. The box artwork vaguely tries to make it work but it really doesn’t. Had they just called this Banner’s Lab or something, it would have been fine. But calling it the Helicarrier means I think of this. Read the rest of this entry »

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Review: Loki’s Cosmic Cube Escape #6867

without comments

Next in the Avengers LEGO lineup includes the big bad and two heroes. I think the reason I like this so much is when you combine it with Captain America’s Avenging Cycle set, you end up with an evenly balanced battle!

Marvel Super Hero Squad 4-Pack Review: Super Hero Secret Wars

without comments

It’s been 25 years since Marvel’s Secret Wars debuted and after all these years, it still is going strong. Originally made so Mattel had a reason for releasing a whole mess of different action figures under a single line, Secret Wars has remained popular. Between the two-packs of the Marvel Universe figures and this unreleased in the US pack, someone as Hasbro must really like the Secret Wars.

Trapped on the alien Battleworld, the most powerful heroes and villains in the world face off for the only prize that matters – survival! This is the most dangerous it’s ever been for any of them. Before it’s over, every one of them will be tested to his limits as they take part in the ultimate cosmic brawl.

Review: Marvel Super Hero Squad – Captain America & Hawkeye

I often refer to figures in the Super Hero Squad line like I’ve already reviewed them. So to keep myself sane and my girlfriend unaware of how much I actually spend on these adorable toys, I’ll be doing reviews of all the Super Hero Squad figures released! Today kicks off one of Marvel’s classic teams: the Avengers!
