Every time I think the Super Hero Squad line is finally dead, Hasbro throws out on more set to let it live on a little longer. It’s been going on for almost two years with the line coming up to breath in weird little ways. But out of the blue, this exclusive six-pack showed up on Target shelves without a single repack in it! Like last time, this review may contain spoilers for Iron Man 3. Or comments that are completely wrong and out of place based solely on my own speculation. Either way, you’ve been warned. Read the rest of this entry »
Warning: there may be spoilers for Iron Man 3 in this review. Or rampant speculation. Either way, if you’re worried about even the possibility of being spoiled then don’t read these reviews because they might give something away. Or maybe LEGO is just messing with us. Read the rest of this entry »
The first of the Iron Man 3 Super Hero Squad 3-packs covered the original Iron Man movie. The second pack covers Iron Man 2, but being a 3-pack means it suffers in a weird way. Or maybe I’m just annoyed we never got an armored Whiplash figure. Read the rest of this entry »
It’s sad to see how much the Super Hero Squad has dwindled. In the last two years, only a handful of three-packs have been released and the two-packs are non-existent. With a name like Secret Invasion, it’s hard not to be impressed with Hasbro’s commitment to nods at the comics in this toy line originally intended for three year olds. But nods to the comics have been a constant trend in this line. How else do you explain getting Captain America Punisher or a Secret Wars four-pack? Read the rest of this entry »
The final Marvel LEGO set is the biggest one, but instead of being the Helicarrier or some cityscape for our heroes to destroy, it ends up being the classic Avengers vehicle- the Quinjet! Part of me is still in awe that we even HAVE LEGO Avengers. Read the rest of this entry »
Next in the Avengers LEGO lineup includes the big bad and two heroes. I think the reason I like this so much is when you combine it with Captain America’s Avenging Cycle set, you end up with an evenly balanced battle!
Seize the stolen cosmic cube from Loki! Loki is escaping from S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters with the powerful cosmic cube. If he succeeds, he could use it to wreak havoc on the world! Can Iron Man take to the skies in his amazing armored suit and chase down the speeding off-roader or will Loki escape with the cosmic cube? Read the rest of this entry »
With the Marvel Mega Bloks figures being released, it’s quickly becoming apparent how many of the figures are just repaints of each other. Sure, when it comes to LEGO minifigures – they’re all repaints. Though at least for Iron Man, repaints make sense. Read the rest of this entry »
