A few weeks ago, a handful of us toy collectors in the Boston area met up to exchange stories and have a few beers. Then we all opened our trunks in hopes of doing some trading, only to find each of us seem to collect completely different lines. But Josh from CollectionDX gave me his Optimus Prime Kreon exclusive because he doesn’t collect them (and the box was crushed). Read the rest of this entry »
You’d think a Transformer named Spinister would be connected to a spider somehow. Instead, he’s just a propeller enthusiast with a terrifyingly large gun. Read the rest of this entry »
Crankstart is your generic Transformer. So generic in fact, that Wikipedia only mentions him by name in passing and his TF Wiki article is equally as sparse. He’s a Decepticon who thought he could avoid battle by sticking to off-road missions. Read the rest of this entry »

It wasn’t until I found most of the series on clearance that I finally picked up most of the figures. Read the rest of this entry »
I love KRE-O minifigures (or Kreons), but the Transformers building sets left me less than thrilled. But now Hasbro is releasing a series of blind bagged figures. Thankfully, they aren’t going the LEGO method by making each figure near impossible to identify.
Instead, each figure is stamped on the front bottom of the packaging with seven numbers. The first six numbers don’t seem to matter, they’re probably production numbers. The last digit is what matters and identifies the figure using the following numbers: Read the rest of this entry »
