It’s amazing that Hasbro decided to pack together two figures that represent both the best and the worst of what Marvel has published over the last four decades. So half this set is the high point of Frank Miller’s run on Daredevil, while the other half is the physical embodiment of the Clone Saga.
I’m willing to accept an absurd amount of Spider-Man figures for one reason: that guy has clones, a lot of clones. On one hand, this pack represents everything that was wrong with Spider-Man in the 90s but on the other hand, it is just so much fun.
If you leave Tony Stark alone for more than five minutes, he’s either going to start a super hero Civil War, get absolutely trashed or invent a dozen new suits. Or he’ll just repaint some of his old suits and tell you they’re new.
No matter where Tony Stark goes, he never stops inventing. He is a restless thinker, and a constant engineer. Over the years, he has built dozens of battle suits, both for himself and his friends and allies. Every single one is the best of its kind, a top-of-the-line suit of armor designed to seek and destroy evil wherever it hides.
Thanks mostly to Brian Michael Bendis; the Avengers became popular once again. It was only a few years ago when Iron Man was a relatively unknown character outside of comic reading circles, and now he’s one of the big four – up there with Spider-Man, Batman and Superman. But when a team’s roster has included pretty much any and everyone in the Marvel Universe, it lets Hasbro pick and choose whomever they want for the Super Hero Squad!
The most powerful group of super heroes ever known has come together to face whatever threatens the Earth! Omnipotent time-travelers, alien empires, and monsters from the deepest caves on the planet don’t stand a chance against the might of the Avengers!
