Review: Marvel Universe Handful of Heroes 8-Pack

without comments

Small plastic figures have been a staple in the toy world for decades. Army Men were always the gold standard – cheap, bountiful and always ready to be sacrificed to the name of entertainment. But being from the generation that grew up on M.U.S.C.L.E. Men and Monster in My Pocket, I figured what’s the worse that could happen with these little Marvel Handful of Heroes. Super Hero Squad Review: Avalanche & Astonishing Beast

without comments

The X-Men have it rough. They try to be heroes in a world that hates them and when they aren’t getting their memories wiped by their leader, they’re getting their butts kicked by some new baddie. Mega Super Hero Squad Review: Apocalypse & Beast

without comments

One of my favorite X-Men villains has always been Apocalypse. Sure, he can be a walking Deus Ex Machina at times with a near unlimited power set that changes depending on what the story needs, but the idea of a several thousand year old mutant that believes in survival of the fittest as the only way to live is kind of cool. Throw in the fact that he’s a shape and mass shifter; it made a lot of sense to make him one of the mega Super Hero Squad figures.

Marvel Super Hero Squad Review: Beast & Iceman

without comments

The first wave of the Super Hero Squad was a decent start to filling out Marvel’s band of mutant misfits, but with only Cyclops and Angel released, over half the founding members were unaccounted for. But this pack brings two of the three out: Beast and Iceman!
